In order to correctly paint a pool the applicator must have a thorough understanding of all the processes involved.

• The pool must be emptied
• All surfaces must be cleaned and tested for existing coating so as to correctly specify the new coating to be used.
• The pool substrate must be checked over for any damage. The applicator must be able to carry out any repairs needed.
• The coatings must be applied during the correct weather and temperature
• The pool needs to be monitored during refilling
• The pool water needs to be correctly balanced to prevent premature breakdown in the new coating
